The Ardent Apex Magnum Baitcasting Reel delivers the power and durability you need with a wide body and low profile complemented by increased line capacity ? the Apex Magnum will hold 360 yards of 10 pound monofilament line. A quality 10 + 1 ball bearing system produces smooth retrieval and a long casting distance its equally smooth and powerful drag is rated at 17.6 pounds. This reel offers a superior .95 millimeter extra-long carbon fiber handle that won?t bend or break. The Apex Magnum also features patent pending Drag Tracking Technology (DTT) that gives you the casting distance and fighting power needed in an inshore reel. The DTT system allows the level wind eyelet to track parallel with the line location on the spool as the line is being pulled from the reel in drag mode. This reduces the change of line breakage by eliminating the sharp angles caused by the level wind eyelet being out of sync with the line location on the spool in drag mode as on all other reels. The Apex Magnum also offers an aluminum frame and a 270 degree magnetic brake system for an all-around performance reel.
